Note: Changes to this Route. The proposed route through Munruben Forest has been cancelled for 2012 due to road works. The section through Springfield Lakes has also been slightly modified to meet Police requirements.
A ride for the genuine “cyclist” who longs for the open road. This ride winds its way from 17 Mile Rocks, through Springfield Lakes to Greenbank, then past Jimboomba to loop through Chambers Flat, and then return.
Even though there is a cumulative elevation gain of 1050m, there are no steep hills. This is a long ride through beautiful areas where groups of riders can maintain good speeds. Only experienced and fit riders should attempt this ride. If you cannot make it to Greenbank (40k) in 1hr40m, riders should turn back and make it an 80k ride.
